Watch Out

Trello does not offer refunds for unused time — if you cancel an annual plan 3 months in, you keep access but lose the remaining 9 months of payment.

Only the Workspace Admin can cancel the subscription. Regular members cannot access billing settings.

Downgrading to Free limits you to 10 boards per workspace. Extra boards become read-only, not deleted.

If you subscribed via the App Store or Google Play, cancelling must be done through that platform, not Trello's website.

Enterprise plans may require contacting Atlassian support directly to cancel.

Deleting the Trello app does not cancel your subscription — billing continues until you explicitly cancel.

What Happens After You Cancel

Access

Paid features remain active until the end of your billing cycle, then your workspace is downgraded to the Free plan with up to 10 boards.

Your data

Boards and data are preserved after cancelling. Downgrading to Free makes boards beyond the 10-board limit read-only until you close some.
