Welcome to Substract! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and service. By using Substract, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The short version: Be honest, don't abuse the service, understand that we're providing information (not financial advice), and respect our refund policy.

1. Service Description
What Substract Does
Substract is a subscription auditing service that:
- Analyzes your uploaded credit card statements using AI
- Identifies recurring subscription charges
- Provides a report with subscription details, cancellation links, and optimization tips
What Substract Is NOT
- ✕Not a financial advisor — We provide information, not personalized financial advice.
- ✕Not a cancellation service — We give you the links and guides, but you must cancel subscriptions yourself.
- ✕Not a monitoring tool — We analyze historical statements, not real-time transactions.
- ✕Not a bank — We don't access your bank accounts directly. You upload statements manually.
2. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
- Have the legal right to use the credit card statements you upload
- Not be prohibited from using financial services under applicable law
3. User Obligations
You agree to:
- Upload legitimate, unaltered credit card statements
- Provide a valid email address for receiving your report
- Use real payment information (no fake credit cards or stolen payment methods)
- Not upload statements that aren't yours
- Not use the service to commit fraud, identity theft, or other crimes
- Not attempt to hack, DDoS, or disrupt our service

Pay $9.99 (one-time, non-recurring) to unlock the complete report with subscription names, cancel links, guides, and optimization tips.
No Auto-Renewal
This is NOT a subscription. You will NOT be charged again unless you voluntarily upload new statements and pay for another analysis.
5. Refund Policy
7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you purchase the full report and are not satisfied, request a full refund within 7 days of purchase.
How to request a refund:
Email refunds@substract.co with your email address. We'll process refunds within 2-3 business days.
Note: One refund per customer. No refunds after 7 days. We may deny refunds for policy abuse.
6. Important Disclaimer
Not Financial Advice: Substract provides information, not advice. We are NOT financial advisors, accountants, or licensed professionals. Our reports are for informational purposes only. You are responsible for making your own financial decisions.
No Guarantee of Accuracy: We use AI to analyze your statements, and AI isn't perfect. We cannot guarantee that we'll catch 100% of your subscriptions, that all merchant names are correctly identified, or that cancellation links are always up-to-date.
You Are Responsible for Cancellations: We give you the tools. You do the canceling. If you don't cancel a subscription and continue getting charged, that's on you.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Substract is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We are NOT liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us ($9.99 max).
In plain English: If something goes wrong, the most you can get from us is your $9.99 back. We're not liable for "lost savings" or other indirect damages.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Substract from any claims arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any law or third-party rights.
9. Intellectual Property
The Substract website, logo, AI technology, and report format are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of the statements you upload. By uploading, you grant us a temporary license to process your statements and generate your report.
10. Data Privacy & Security
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- We encrypt your data using bank-level security
- We delete your statements within 48 hours
- We never sell your data
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access if:
- You violate these Terms
- You abuse the refund policy
- You upload fraudulent or illegal content
- You attempt to hack or disrupt our service
You may stop using the service anytime. If you want your data deleted early, email privacy@substract.co.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. If we have a dispute:
- 1.Try to resolve it informally first (email legal@substract.co)
- 2.If that fails, try mediation
- 3.If mediation fails, binding arbitration
You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action. You can still file claims in small claims court or report us to government authorities.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date and notify you via email. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
