Quick Facts
Watch Out
If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through them — cancelling on the YNAB website won't stop Apple/Google charges.
You cannot manage billing or cancel through the YNAB mobile app. You must use the web app at app.ynab.com or cancel through Apple/Google if you subscribed that way.
YNAB offers retention discounts (1–3 months free or a reduced rate) and financial hardship pricing when you try to cancel. These are not cancellation — make sure you complete the full cancellation flow.
Annual subscribers who cancel and delete their account may receive a prorated refund. Simply cancelling without deleting does not trigger a refund — you must explicitly delete your account.
Export your budget data before cancelling (Settings → Export Budget). Once your subscription ends, you lose access and cannot export later.
The 34-day free trial does not require a credit card when signing up directly through YNAB, but App Store/Play Store signups may require payment info and auto-convert.
What Happens After You Cancel

You keep full access until the end of your current billing period.
Your data
