Steps to Cancel
- 1Go to youtube.com and sign in
- 2Click your profile picture in the top right corner
- 3Select 'Premium benefits' from the dropdown menu (or go directly to youtube.com/paid_memberships)
- 4Scroll down and click 'Manage membership'
- 5Click on your active YouTube Premium plan
- 6Click the blue 'Cancel' button
- 7On the confirmation screen, review when access ends and click 'Yes, cancel'

Where you cancel depends entirely on where you subscribed. App Store subscribers must cancel through Apple Settings. Google Play subscribers must cancel through the Play Store. Direct subscribers cancel on youtube.com. Cancelling in the wrong place won't stop the charges.
YouTube Premium includes YouTube Music Premium at no extra charge. Cancelling YouTube Premium also cancels YouTube Music Premium — both end at the same time.
The annual plan ($139.99/year) is pre-paid and non-refundable. If you're on the annual plan, you'll still be charged the full year amount with no proration.
Free trial periods auto-convert to a paid subscription at full price. Cancelling during a free trial ends your access immediately rather than at the trial's end date.
Offline downloads become unplayable immediately once your Premium access expires — they are locked, not deleted.
Family Plan managers must cancel on behalf of the entire group. Individual family members cannot cancel the plan independently.
