Steps to Cancel
- 1Go to max.com and sign in
- 2Click your profile icon in the top right corner
- 3Select Settings or Subscription from the menu
- 4Click Manage Subscription
- 5Click Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page
- 6Max may offer a cheaper ad-supported plan — decline if you want to fully cancel
- 7Select a reason for canceling and click Yes, Cancel Subscription to confirm

Max has been renamed multiple times (HBO Now → HBO Max → Max → HBO Max again). Make sure you're canceling the correct subscription in your billing platform.
iOS and Android subscribers billed through Apple/Google must cancel through their respective platform, not the Max website.
If you subscribed through a TV or cable provider (Comcast, AT&T, DIRECTV, etc.), you must cancel through that provider.
Max recommends canceling at least two days before your next billing cycle to avoid being charged.
